Hello Spring!

Hello Spring!

Words by Anna Maria

There comes a time in winter when you can no longer bear the sight of winter clothes. Even the smell of wool can make you cringe. Spring, with its temperamental weather, can be difficult to dress for, no matter how happy you are to ditch the heavy layers. Nothing beats starting to commute again after a winter spent on the trainer. Here are three jackets we love, guaranteed to get you to work in style.

We are huge fans of Nau! Their clothes are equal parts beautiful design and performance. The women's collection is consistently strong. It mixes incredibly well with ready to wear like Vince and DKNY Pure. Nau allows you truly seamlessly integrate performance cycling wear into a stylish everyday wardrobe. We were particularly drawn to this season's Tripoly Jacket. With its large pockets and high collar, performance is clearly at the heart of its design. Its got an incredibly flattering cut and with fully sealed seams, it stands up to wind, sleet and rain. Its made from 60/40 recycled poly and organic cotton slub, and its remarkably quiet for a shell.

While their name might not be synonymous with cycling, we love wearing Fjallraven on bikes. Their outerwear is versatile and stylish, and performance driven for whatever adventure you might have planned. Even if that adventure is just navigating slushy spring bike paths on your way to work. We love the Abisko Hybrid jacket for just such a task. Its light G-1000 fabric is water repellant and MT panels are ultra light and fast drying. Its vented under the arms and at the yoke for a more temperature regulated commute. Its relaxed style make it a great choice for casual weekend wear. The fabric is soft quiet, and like all Fjallraven products, it keeps looking better with age.

While Novara is probably best known for its tech driven, performance look, this Weinland Park jacket is decidedly polished, and suitable for even the most corporate environments. It has a ton of tech concealed within its traditional trench coat styling: ultra reflective piping, responsive 4-way stretch, and a ton of pockets. Undoubtedly our favorite feature is its double vented hem, its long enough in the back so youre covered no matter what the road sprays on you, but the vents mean you never awkwardly snag hem on saddle when you come to a stop.
