Levi's Commuter Collection

It's finally here! The much anticipated Women's commuter collection has arrived online and in select Levi's stores. Featuring iconic Levi's style at an affordable price point, this collection is poised to seamlessly work in to every cyclists wardrobe. Here are some of our favorite pieces from the spring collection.
No cyclists wardrobe is going to be complete without the Commuter Skinny. This lightweight denim is as technical as it is flattering. The fabric is water and dirt repellant, which is great news if you've been missing lighter colored denim. They have offerings in classic indigo and black, but we love the on trend light grey and light blue colors as well. The interior side seams have reflective tape on the cuffs for visibility. A detail we love is the reinforced pockets to hold your U-Lock, the fabric is heavier than the rest of the jean so it resists wear and keeps your lock from moving around. They jeans higher coverage in the back, but a comfortable, rounded waistband in the front that doesn't pinch when you ride. The material has great form retention and won't stretch out from riding. The fabric is also odor resistant and breathable, while providing excellent wind and rain resistance. All the interior seams are flat locked for additional comfort.
We love the classic spring time look of the Commuter Parka. The styling is effortless and light, but is loaded with tech. It is definitely one of the standouts from this collection, despite is incredibly understated appearance. It is water resistant for spring showers, and has a cinchable waistband so you're not overly blousey when riding. It has a versatile hood for wearing off the bike, and a drop tail for extra coverage on the bike. It's packed with super functional pockets, reflective accents, and comes in colors to coordinate with any wardrobe. The cuff and sleeve shapes couldn't be better for riding, but what really impresses us is how well this stylish jacket works off the bike.
A fitted denim jacket is sometimes the first item to drop out of a regular rider's wardrobe. Regular denim jackets have no stretch, and the fabric gets soaked in the rain and wind cuts right through it. Enter the infinitely practical and stylish Commuter Trucker. It's one of those pieces that looks flawless on and off the bike. It has just enough tech to make it a commuter staple, but it looks like any other denim jacket, so you wont get that overly sporty off the bike look. It has hidden reflective accents. The denim has the perfect amount of stretch to accommodate a full range of motion, meaning you can carry whatever you want on your backpack without ripping a sleeve out.
We are also so excited about the Commuter Hi-Rise short. Come summer, most of us live in shorts, but it is so hard to find a short that looks cute and fully covers you on the bike. The Hi-Rise has got it all. Figure flattering styling, loaded with the same tech as Commuter Skinny: flat locked seams, reflective cuff accents, and odor resistant fabric. We think thats is greatest strength is that it's a perfect length to show off your cyclist legs, but still long enough that you feel comfortable riding around the city and wearing at casual work spaces.
The Commuter collection is loaded with stylish staples that are as functional as they are flattering. There are even accessories like a roll top backpack and versatile top options like the pullover featured above (top left) and standard button down shirts in both short and long sleeve lengths. We really look forward to what Levi's has to offer the female cyclist. The collection is truly loaded with tech, but the only thing you really notice is Levi's iconic style.
